Pavla has taught English from preschool to K12 levels for over 4 years through in-person and online classroom settings. She teaches grammar, reading, speech, writing and literature through engaging and participatory classes, while providing study techniques applicable to other subjects. She believes in the importance of individualized and efficient learning strategies and fostering positive relationships with students.
She recently obtained a Masters of Science in Gender, Media and Culture from the London School of Economics (LSE) in London, UK, completing a joint study program with the Department of Gender Studies and the Department of Media & Communications. She received a dissertation grant award from the LSE Southeast Asia Centre for her independent research project analyzing social media campaigns during the 2022 Philippine presidential elections. While pursuing her master's degree, she served in student leadership roles and represented LSE as an official student social media ambassador. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, minor in Commerce from the University of British Columbia. Aside from education, she has worked in the fields of marketing and branding, customer service, and film & television. She draws from this multidisciplinary training to impart valuable interpersonal and communication skills to her students.
