Stanstead College

Stanstead, Quebec · Day and boarding · Co-ed · Grades 7–12

Stanstead College is a coeducational Grade 7–12 boarding and day school founded in 1872 in Stanstead, Quebec, in the Eastern Townships on the Vermont border. It enrolls about 300 students from over 20 countries, who live in five houses grouped by age and gender. Students earn the Quebec Secondary School Diploma at the end of Grade 11; those aiming for universities outside Quebec usually add an intensive Grade 12 year, with Advanced Placement courses offered from Grade 10. A one-year intensive English program serves students with limited English. Applications are rolling, with priority before the end of March; applicants write the school's online test or send SSAT scores, and non-native speakers submit TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo results. Non-Canadian students need a Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) and a study permit.
