The Country Day School is a co-educational independent day school for Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12, set on a 100-acre campus in King, Ontario, north of Toronto. It was founded in 1972 by local parents and is organized into Junior (JK–6), Middle (7–8) and Senior (9–12) Schools, with Advanced Placement courses offered in the senior years. The main entry points are JK and Grades 4, 7 and 9, and applicants complete an assessment and interview. The school describes its approach as balancing academics with athletics, arts, outdoor education and leadership. It has no boarding, homestay or ESL program, so applicants must live locally with a parent and be fluent in English.
