How to Apply to Drexel LeBow College of Business: Choose a Business Major on the Application, the Co-op BSBA, and Requirements and Timelines for Chinese and Canadian High School Students and Transfer Students

2026-10-18 · Application guides

Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business offers a BS in Business Administration with 14 majors and the Drexel co-op, which alternates study with full-time work for up to 18 months of experience. First-year applicants choose a business major on the application and may list first and second choices; high school preparation must include three years of math and one year of a laboratory science. Early Decision and Early Action close on 15 November and Regular Decision on 15 January, under a “No Harm” test-optional policy. Drexel’s 2026-27 estimate for international undergraduates over three quarters is about US$88,396. Based on Drexel’s official information, this guide covers admission, majors, deadlines, English, costs, transfer and a checklist.

Drexel University is in Philadelphia, and its undergraduate business degree is the BS in Business Administration (BSBA) from the LeBow College of Business. Drexel runs on quarters and is known for its co-op program. Here is what you need to know for 2027 entry, based on Drexel’s official information, for students at high schools in China (including A-level, IB and AP students), students at Canadian high schools (including BC and Vancouver students), and transfer students.

1. How first-year students get into LeBow

  • Choose a major on the application: on the Common App or Coalition App, Drexel encourages different first- and second-choice majors, and you can also ask to be considered for First-Year Exploratory Studies. To change your major after applying, email enroll@drexel.edu.
  • High school prerequisites: LeBow’s business, economics and entrepreneurship programs require three years of math (algebra I and II, geometry) and at least one year of a laboratory science (biology, chemistry or physics). Business and Engineering requires four years of math (including trigonometry) and two years of lab science.
  • Accelerated degrees: the BA/BS + MBA program requires a high school GPA of at least 3.5 for applicants coming straight from high school.

2. Majors and co-op

  • 14 majors: Accounting, Business Analytics, Business Law, Entrepreneurship, Finance, General Business, Health Administration, International Business, Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Real Estate Management and Development, and Sport Business. LeBow also offers Business and Engineering, Economics and Entrepreneurship degrees and minors.
  • Co-op: students alternate six months of classes with six months of full-time work; plans of study allow up to three co-ops and as much as 18 months of experience.

3. First-year deadlines and materials

  • Early Decision (binding): apply by 15 November, decisions mid-December; CSS Profile by 25 November for institutional need-based aid; deposit by 15 January.
  • Early Action: apply by 15 November, decisions mid-December; deposit by 1 May.
  • Regular Decision: apply by 15 January, decisions by 1 April; CSS Profile by 1 February.
  • Winter entry: apply by 1 October, decisions by 1 November.
  • Materials: US$65 fee; a 250–650-word essay; official high school transcripts (grades 9–11 plus grade 12 in progress); one counselor recommendation.
  • Testing (inconsistent on the site): the first-year instructions say in one sentence that Drexel “requires all first-year applicants to submit standardized test scores” with flexibility on which tests, but the same page and the testing policy page describe a No Harm Test-Optional policy in which scores are optional and never count against you. The policy page indicates testing is optional; confirm when you apply.
  • Financial documents: international applicants submit bank letters and related documents for the I-20.

4. Students at high schools in China

  • Transcripts: current students send junior-middle year 3 and senior years 1–2; graduates send junior-middle year 3 and final senior years 1–3 plus the graduation certificate, with certified English translations.
  • Gaokao: Drexel does not say whether or how Gaokao results are used; email enroll@drexel.edu.
  • IB: send grades 9–11 transcripts and, after graduation, IB exam results. A-level rules are not listed separately on the international transcript page.
  • English: non-native speakers without three full years at an English-medium high school submit TOEFL iBT, TOEFL Essentials, IELTS, PTE, Duolingo or Cambridge C1/C2. No minimum scores are published.
  • Waivers: three full years at an English-medium high school, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 600+, or ACT English 27+.

5. Students at Canadian high schools (including BC and Vancouver)

  • Transcripts: current students send grades 9–11; graduates send final grades 9–12 and proof of completion.
  • Drexel publishes no grade requirements for Canadian curricula.
  • Three full years at an English-medium high school waive the English test.

6. Costs and aid

  • 2026-27 tuition: US$21,026 per quarter plus a $790 general fee for four- and five-year programs, and a $300 first-year program fee; first-year students attend fall, winter and spring.
  • International estimate: for three full-time quarters, tuition and fees $65,798, living expenses $19,398 and other costs $3,200, a total of about $88,396. General fees are charged during co-op terms too, and the timing of tuition varies with your co-op plan.
  • Aid: international applicants must submit the CSS Profile by the deadline to be considered for institutional need-based aid.

7. Transfer students

  • Deadlines: Drexel currently shows only 2026-27 dates. For that year, fall had a priority deadline of 15 April, with international students advised to confirm enrollment by 14 June for the I-20 and a final deadline of 15 July; winter 15 October; spring 15 January. Fall 2027 dates are not yet published.
  • Prerequisites: the transfer prerequisites page lists requirements by program but does not list business; ask admissions.
  • Internal transfer to LeBow: no criteria are published on the pages reviewed.
  • The BA/BS + MBA program requires current Drexel students to have a 3.0 GPA and 90–120 credits.
